Then, bring 8 cups of water to boil in a saucepan. Add 3 cups of elbow macaroni or salad macaroni. Cook approximately 10 minutes until tender. Drain and rinse with cold water. Chop Vegetables
Macaroni salad is something that can be made according to your taste. I usually use tomatoes, cucumbers, and green peppers. Just chop or slice each vegetable and add it to the macaroni. I put chopped dill pickles to add more flavor. I have also put chunks of cheese, sliced olives, or thawed frozen peas. You could add green onions if your family likes onions. Another thing you could add is chunks of ham.

Stir in Miracle Whip or Mayonaise
Do you prefer Miracle Whip or Mayonaise? Half of my family likes Mayonnaise and the other half prefer Miracle whip. When I make Macaroni Salad I use Miracle Whip. Stir in the sauce of your choice. Add a little mustard if you want.. I have even added a little ranch dressing.
Season with Salt and Pepper.

Mix it all together
Mix the macaroni, vegetables, Miracle Whip, mustard, and salt and pepper together.

Enjoy this salad as a snack or as a side dish. It is great for potluck’s or picnics. It is great for Easter. We have even had this salad for Christmas dinner with ham and rolls.
